From Design to Deployment

Ford AV completes 700+ technology projects each year. Whether it is an airport or corporate boardroom, the AV solution is critical in meeting the customer’s objectives. This requires extraordinary experience and ingenuity from Ford engineers and technicians.

Getting Started

A design team meets with project stakeholders to discuss technology needs and develop an innovative system solution, while collaborating with architects, engineers, and other trades to address infrastructure.

Break it Down

Project Managers develop the project’s critical path, address equipment delays, schedule personnel, and more—while collaborating with the general contractor, owner, and other trades.

Preassembly

Equipment is neatly mounted. Software is loaded with the current revision. The equipment racks are tested and undergo quality assurance before leaving for the jobsite.

In the Field

Installation Technicians and Job Superintendents deploy systems to more than 60 locations across the U.S. each week. Construction management software is used to track changes, assign tasks, and capture jobsite information in real time, which is accessible to all onsite Ford employees.

Testing, Testing, Testing

Be ready for your next meeting–verify your system’s performance with Ford AV’s customized testing that is unique to each project. Once completed, each system’s performance test ensures all of your equipment is functioning properly.  This includes, speakers, microphones, cameras, displays, processors—we even test your cable performance!”

User Adoption

Ford AV’s Customer Training Center protects your investment. Ford offers an array of training options, including quick start guides, online instruction manuals, website videos, and educational seminars.

We Are All Interconnected

Ford AV utilizes powerful construction management software designed for construction Project Managers, Job Superintendents, and Engineers. The application allows field workers to access up-to-date information like construction drawings, files, and tasks directly on their mobile devices and is utilized by office-based personnel to see field changes and jobsite photos.

This technology improves the efficiency and accuracy of projects, including equipment lists, floor plan viewing, issue tracking, and task management. A Job Superintendent Quality Assurance Manager says, “The construction management software makes it easy to view what needs to be accomplished. Everyone on that project can see what needs to be done and when it needs
to be completed.”

The collaboration platform is structured around plans and trades, allowing Ford AV staff to create tasks on specific plan locations, as well as add comments, photos, and annotations. Tasks are automatically uploaded to a centralized server and dispatched to additional members on the project. The construction management software works both offline and online, allowing jobsite staff to continue working in conditions where network connectivity is compromised.
